HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome to 2023! As you plan your trips for the year, I’ve put together the status of all the known 2023 Quilt Shows scheduled to date and compiled a list of their current status.
HOW MANY ITEMS CAN YOU CHECK OFF OF THE BIG QUILTER’S BUCKET LIST CHALLENGE?
Below you will find a list of not only the known quilt shows around the United States, arranged by date, but also the 2023 International Quilt Festivals around the world!

Did you know there are large International Quilt Shows held each year around the world? There are! In fact, some of the most amazing Quilt Art is on display at these shows, including spectacular landscapes in France and the most insanely detailed pieces in Japan, just to name a few.

Wow – great list! I would like to attend a big quilt show. I’m thinking of AQS Quilt Week in either Grand Rapids or Paducah, or the International Quilt Festival in Houston. How do these 3 compare, in terms of number of quilts on display, number of attendees, etc. Thank you!
All great shows Nancy! I can tell you that Festival in Houston is generally the largest quilt show in the US. That said, Paducah and Houston are very comparable in the variety of quilts, attendees and vendors. They come from all over the world to attend and participate in these shows. Also, in Paducah, there are several fabulous quilt shops and a quilt museum in town. So there are a ton of things to do including the quilt show.
Grand Rapids is also a fabulous show but if I were to choose between the 3 you asked about, I would go to either Paducah or Festival in Houston. 😀
