Every winter brings a down time for us travelers. However, it also brings more time for Quilting! Therefore, every year I try to challenge myself to try a new project or technique to keep improving my quilting skills.

This year it’s all about Pre-Cuts!

I’ll admit, I have not worked very much with pre-cuts. In fact, I’ve never actually used the “Mini Charms” or 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch pre-cut squares. So, for this year’s Winter Quilt Project I’ve worked up a fun little quilt pattern called “Charming Spiral.”

And nearly the entire quilt top is Pre-Cuts!

About the Charming Spiral Quilt Pattern

As I mentioned above, Charming Spirals is made almost exclusively using pre-cuts. However, you can also choose to make yours using scraps from your stash or actual yardage. It’s completely up to you!

I will be using:

2 yards of Background fabric
8 Mini Charm Packs
2 Jelly Rolls
1 standard Charm Pack
Extra yardage

PLEASE NOTE: I am using WAY MORE fabric than the pattern calls for because I’m not yet sure how I want the finished blocks to come out so I want to make sure I have ample fabric to choose from. 😀
