Old Dominion

While Virginia is mostly known for it’s vast military and political background, it also houses a unique corner of the quilting community.

For quilt makers, art lovers and history enthusiasts, Virginia will never disappoint. No matter which part of the state you visit, you will find an array of museums, historical landmarks, historical towns, houses and natural beauty to last a lifetime.

But be warned, once you venture in to begin exploring Virginia, you’ll already start planning your trip back.

Virginia Quilt Museum – in Harrisonburg
The Glass Palette – in Charlottesville. It’s like creating quilts with glass!
The Glass Art Studio – in Norfolk. You can learn to blow glass!
Colonial Williamsburg – the largest living history museum
Maymont – in Richmond. This place is a Must Visit!
