I’m Rona Herman, also known as THE Traveling Quilter. And this year I’ve begun a new venture in my travels… organizing Quilt Tours!
One of the main tips I give quilters in my Tips for the Traveling Quilter lecture is:
If you want to see the sights, experience foreign lands with a little bit of quilting – take a Quilt Tour. If you want to do a lot more quilting and actual sewing – take a Quilt Cruise.
But right here, right now – I’m flipping Quilt Tours industry upside down!
Beginning with my 2025 Scotland Quilt Tour I’m changing everything you thought you knew about a quilt tour. When you go on one of my tours, you’ll not only see those same sights and explore those same new lands – but you’ll also get a TON of textile crafting!
- You’ll learn how to process wool on a working Highland farm!
- You’ll see the incredible Great Tapestry of Scotland.
- You’ll learn how to weave a tapestry of your own from Scottish and British weavers in Edinburgh.
- You’ll spend 1 day with a UK Quilter at a “mini Retreat”
- And TONS more!!
And that’s JUST the beginning!
Over the years I’ve listened to fellow quilty travelers at my lectures and on various tours. I’ve also sought out advice from experts in the textile fields around the world to bring you truly one-of-a-kind tours!
If you’re a quilter, weaver, or all-around textile enthusiast, these Quilt Tours should be top of your bucket list!
I guess the only question now is… where are we going first!?
