Welcome to Louisiana!
Known for Cajun food, The Big Easy and a few crazy bearded guys, Louisiana is unlike any other place in the U.S. It also happens to be the place where I was born.
Even though none of my clan live there anymore, I still try to get back as often as I can for the art, the culture and the food! Oh my. There is nothing quite like a chickory Cafe au Lait and a piping hot beignet fresh out of the oven while taking in the salty air and smooth jazz out in the french corner.
Or, a calm stroll on a pirogues up the lazy bayou. Watch out for them snapping turtles! They may look cute and cuddly but they’ll take your finger off faster than a hot knife through butter.
With it’s incredible cast of characters, huge pots of crawfish, barrels of love, art, history, and just enough Voodoo to make things interesting, Louisiana is a must stop on your Quilty travels!
