Welcome to Washington State!

Even though I was born in Louisiana, I did spend most of my growing up and young adult years in the beautiful Washington State.

Whenever I would tell someone that I was from Washington, they would immediately ask about Seattle. No, I’m not from Seattle. However, I did spend quite a few unadulterated nights on it’s streets. Yes, Seattle has TONS to offer it’s guests, I personally would recommend adding in the rest of the state to your visit, including it’s over 100 Quilt Shops!

Between the many historical towns, incredibly rich Native American and Japanese cultures, Music lore, stunning mountain (and city) views, thousands of lakes, rivers and streams, (and so much more I could mention) Washington State literally has something for everyone.

SOME POINTS OF INTEREST NOT TO BE MISSED:

• Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum in La Conner
• Bainbridge Quilt Festival on Bainbridge Island
• Pike Place Market in Seattle
• The entire city of Poulsbo! aka “Little Norway”
• The town of Leavenworth (ESPECIALLY at Christmas time!)
• Whale watching on the San Juan islands
