Why visit Rapid City, south dakota?

On our first cross country road trip in 2012, we were able to stop in to visit both Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse monuments. Unfortunately, back then we didn’t do much of anything else in the area.

So, on this trip in the summer of 2022, we made sure to stop in to Rapid City, South Dakota to meet the Presidents and visit one of the best quilt shops in the state! Quilt Connection, Etc.

As if visiting a quilt shop (or 2 or 3) wasn’t fun enough for one visit, Rapid City, South Dakota is the epicenter for a TON of amazing things to see and do in and around the city! Here are just a few to start with…

Nestled conveniently in the heart of downtown Rapid City, South Dakota is one of my favorite quilt shops.. Quilt Connection, Etc! If you’re looking for something, this store probably has it.

From quilting fabrics of ALL types to notions galore to an entire quilt pattern wall to one of the largest batiks sections I’ve ever seen… and that’s just the FIRST floor!

Heck, even if you aren’t looking for something specific, you’re still sure to find a gold mine at Quilt Connection, Etc!
